Baruch 2:19
Good News Translation
"O Lord our God, we pray to you for mercy, but not because of any good things done by our ancestors and our kings.

For it is not because of any righteous deeds of our ancestors or our kings that we bring before you our prayer for mercy, O Lord our God.

Our Lord God, we pray for your mercy, even though our ancestors and our kings refused to do what was right.
