Good News Translation
A later generation was born and lived in the land, but they too did not discover the way to knowledge. They did not find the path to Wisdom or ever reach her.

Later generations have seen the light of day, and have lived upon the earth; but they have not learned the way to knowledge, nor understood her paths, nor laid hold of her.

Contemporary English Version
Neither could any of their descendants find the way to knowledge. They couldn't find out how to gain Wisdom or even how to look for her.
