Good News Translation
Those who abandon their parents or give them cause for anger may as well be cursing the Lord; they are already under the Lord's curse.

Whoever forsakes a father is like a blasphemer, and whoever angers a mother is cursed by the Lord.

But abandoning your father or making your mother angry is as bad as cursing the Lord, and so he will curse you.
