Good News Translation
But among that scrap wood he may take one piece that isn't good for anything--maybe it's crooked and full of knots--and carefully carve it in his leisure time, using spare moments to shape it into the crude image of a person,

But a cast-off piece from among them, useful for nothing, a stick crooked and full of knots, he takes and carves with care in his leisure, and shapes it with skill gained in idleness; he forms it in the likeness of a human being,
