Sirach 8:2
Good News Translation
Do not quarrel with someone rich; he may bribe people to turn against you. Gold has destroyed many people and corrupted kings.

New Revised Standard Version
Do not quarrel with the rich, in case their resources outweigh yours; for gold has ruined many, and has perverted the minds of kings.

Contemporary English Version
Don't argue with those who have plenty of gold-- they will drag you down by bribing others or by persuading the king to see things their way.
