Wisdom 14:1
Good News Translation
In the same way, a man getting ready to sail on the raging sea will call for help from a piece of wood that is not as strong as the ship he is about to board.

Again, one preparing to sail and about to voyage over raging waves calls upon a piece of wood more fragile than the ship that carries him.

Sailors preparing to travel across dangerous waters will pray for safety to a flimsy piece of wood, less sturdy than their ship.
