Explosion in Wellbeing
By: Jeff Liautaud on November 20, 2024 | Filed in: Google Artificial IntelligenceSummary: There is not a person alive who cannot benefit from our incubator space to satisfy innate needs. Like sailors eating limes to prevent scurvy, satisfying innate needs overcomes the scurvy of the human spirit which is diminished motivation and well-being. You can learn to do this. But you will not find that out from Google AI!
Perhaps the greatest discovery in Natural Law ever is that primary values converge as Smart® habits that satisfy innate needs. Google Artificial Intelligence (AI) search for innate needs states:
“Psychological needs are another type of innate need that are important for psychological wellbeing and motivation. According to self-determination theory (SDT), the three psychological needs are: autonomy, competence, and relatedness.”
These innate needs are only useful to understand deprivation. According to Google AI deprivation consists in distress:
“When innate needs are not met, people can experience distress. For example, a team member might not feel a sense of purpose or competence in their work.”
Yet the authors Deci and Ryan state:
“The findings have led to the postulate of three innate psychological needs–competence, autonomy, and relatedness- which when satisfied yield enhanced self-motivation and mental health and when thwarted lead to diminished motivation and well-being.”
Distress according to Google AI is far different than Deci and Ryan’s “diminished motivation and wellbeing.” For example, according to the Mayo Clinic:
“Depression is a mood disorder that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest. Also called major depressive disorder or clinical depression, it affects how you feel, think and behave and can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems. You may have trouble doing normal day-to-day activities, and sometimes you may feel as if life isn’t worth living.”
Notice that both Deci and Ryan state plainly that innate needs “when thwarted lead to diminished motivation and well-being.”
Severe anxiety is far greater than distress. This leads to a broader question. How safe is the internet? President elect Trump spoke of digital due process, online censorship, deep state censorship and much more.
Let me give you my take. If my life’s work of over 50 years can be eliminated as if it did not exist, as has been done under Google Complaint Case #:5-3653000035165, I have to ask why?
Something as important as primary values discovered by Loquate prior to Deci and Ryan’s work is a breakthrough of significant proportions. And once Deci and Ryan published their work, another breakthrough occurred. Over 600,000 Academic Research Articles cite Richard M Ryan. Wouldn’t you think that would be enough to warrant coverage by Google Search for “Innate Needs?” I certainly think so.
Richard M Ryan has proven to be a friend of Loquate’s work.
On 10/17/19, Richard M. Ryan in a note to Jeff Liautaud, Founder of Loquate said this: Remarkable Convergence.
Hi again Jeff Happy to say this: “Reading the text you sent, I see that we share some very basic values and missions Jeff, and I loved the autonomy, competence, and relatedness themes you expressed. I see remarkable convergence with our work within self-determination theory (SDT). I especially appreciate your interest in promoting the importance of community and what I would call having the widest integrative span of care one can shoulder, and I hope SDT can be a resource in that effort. I truly hope your mission to promote communities in which one most values the common good really takes off.” All the best Richard.”
The significance is this. Perhaps the greatest discovery in Natural Law ever is that primary values converge as Smart® habits that satisfy innate needs. There is not a person alive who cannot benefit from our incubator space to satisfy innate needs. Like sailors eating limes to prevent scurvy, satisfying innate needs overcomes the scurvy of the human spirit which is diminished motivation and well-being. You can learn to do this.
Where Work Meets Faith
Wouldn’t you rather satisfy innate needs than argue about beliefs? Our incubator space begins with awareness and marches along in our small groups “Where Work Meets Faith” also called Smart® groups. Your example leads mankind across the threshold into the transcendent bosom of God, which is pure love.
Over 190 videos show this remarkable crossover. Each presenter was asked if at any time in their work-a-day life they provided extreme value. Click any video. Listen to their story. Run an experiment.
Hypothesis: two pluralistic paths to God, our work path and our faith path, reinforce each other “Where Work Meets Faith.”
